Mission Statement of Sisters of the Sorrowful Mother International Finance, Inc.
The purpose of SSM International Finance, Inc. is to assist the Congregation of the Sisters of the Sorrowful Mother to achieve its’ apostolic mission: by providing financial services and structure which direct, coordinate, and account for the material resources of the Congregation and by guiding and enabling the functioning of Gospel Values within SSM International Financial system so that resources are developed, focused, and extended in ways that situate the SSM charism in discipleship.
OVERALL GOALS AND VISION OF SSM INTERNATIONAL FINANCE, INC.
- That the Finance office and functions be consistent with Canon Law and Our Way of Life
- That we consider the Congregation’s future needs
- That the strutture and function provide continuity amid changing Congregational leadership
- That the Finance office function effectively and efficiently while keeping leadership wellinformed
- That the unity of the Congregation be expressed in the management and use of its funds
- That the Finance office enable leadership to monitor financial aspects and be free to carry out other essential function of their office
- That the strutture of the Finance office ensure equity in the services provided to the Province/Regions
- That the recommendations serve to simplify and improve the functioning of SSM International Finance and our structures
