The Congregation of the Sisters of the Sorrowful Mother joins the Catholic Church and all people of good will in thanking God, as we welcome, congratulate, and pray for our new Holy Father, Pope Leo XIV, Robert Francis Prevost. Being a member on the Order of St. Augustine, we are confident and full of hope that our new Pope will renew in our Church the values lived by the first Christian Community. He will help us “live harmoniously in our Church and world, intent upon God”, ‘‘with one heart and mind” Acts 4:32 (Taken from the Rule of the Order).
We welcome Pope Leo XIV and commit as an International Congregation to pray for his ministry and a successful and fulfilling Papacy.
