Rome, February 16, 1883. This is where the “unexpected and unusual” ways of God lead Mother Frances. Invited by the founder of the Society of Catholic Instruction, Fr. Jordan, this persevering seeker of God, after the proper discernment with the spiritual father who accompanied her in those years, set out from Munich and arrived in the Eternal City by train. Her collaboration in the founding of the women’s branch of Fr. Jordan’s Work would be the first step in those unusual paths that she would boldly follow throughout her life.
